Course Content

Understanding Risk in Business Operations
This module introduces how risks appear in everyday business operations and how organisations document, assess, and manage them. Learners explore risk registers, risk categories, and how risks influence compliance and decision-making. The module builds foundational awareness of how risk management fits into the broader governance structure.

  • What Is a Risk Register and Why It Matters
  • Categories of Risk (Operational, Financial, Conduct, WHS, Data, Supplier)

Control Development and Monitoring
This module focuses on internal controls—the measures an organisation uses to prevent, detect, or correct risks. Learners discover how controls work, how they are tested, how evidence is collected, and how gaps are identified. They also learn how to propose remediation actions under the guidance of a Compliance Officer.

Internal Audit Support
This module teaches BPO assistants how to support internal audit activities. It explains how evidence packs are created, how working papers are documented, and how to help teams prepare for an upcoming audit. Learners gain practical skills in traceability, organisation, and documentation that strengthen the organisation’s audit readiness.
